Men's Fashion Instagram Accounts to Follow-image

Instagram has blown up in recent years and it has become a medium for artists and lovers of fashion to showcase their talent! In this week’s Wildwood Park Apartments Blog, we’ve got some Instagram accounts for you to follow if you appreciate men’s fashion. Men’s fashion has long been a underappreciated segment of the fashion world, but thanks to social media, there has been a greater appreciation for it.   Perkensbienaime Perkens Aime is a style and menswear influencer on Instagram who runs a menswear/lifestyle blog called Garcon a la Mode. If you’re looking for an Instagram account filled with suits, or a style that’s elegant and debonaire, this is the one to follow. Aime’s Instagram feed is well put together and illustrates his style through visually stunning photography and well put together outfits.   Gents Lounge The project of Blake Scott and George LaBoda, both popular male Instagram style influencers, Gents Lounge is a hub for lifestyle and menswear images. This account features styles and images that portray a standard but elegant idea of menswear and style, generally. Ranging from outfits, to cars and motorcycles, and even to skincare products, Gents Lounge is a good account to follow if you’re looking for great tips for men.   Denny623 Denny Balmaceda has been in the blogging game since 2008, largely before the influx of influencers popping up on Instagram. Deviating from the traditional menswear scene of suits and ties, Denny forges his own path of style, mixing vintage with modern stylings. This account is a breath of fresh air in an Instagram world where every menswear influencer is wearing almost exactly the same thing.   Whether you’re male or female, following a menswear Instagram account can provide you with inspiration, especially if they post high quality, beautifully composed photos. If you’re not into menswear, at least these accounts will give you things to scroll through for a few hours. Thanks for reading our blog today. We hope everyone in our apartment community here in Arlington, VA has a great July, filled with amazing gentlemen’s fashion.

Organize your Home-image

Coming home to your Arlington, VA apartment is a great feeling, but it can easily be tarnished by walking through your door to find a home that’s unkempt and cluttered! Don’t worry, though, in this week’s Wildwood Park Apartments Blog, we’ve got some tips for getting organized and cleaning up your apartment and creating a home you love to come back to!   Get Rid of the Clutter Clutter is usually the culprit that keeps apartments looking messy. Usually, people have things they’ve accumulated scattered around their home — most are items that can be disposed of. Getting rid of the clutter can greatly improve the look of your apartment and reduce the stress that comes from feeling enclosed by stuff.   How do you get rid of these items? A big reason why people keep items is they perceive that at some point in the near future, they’re going to be in need of those items. A good way of evaluating things you need is asking yourself this question: Have I used this in the last year? If you haven’t, it might be safe to say that you can put it in the trash or donate it to someone else.      Diversify your Storage Are you tired of having nowhere to put your stuff? Diversifying your storage can help you with that problem. Investing in furniture that doubles as storage is a good way to not only store things, but lends a hand when it comes to conquering clutter. If you’re wanting to create more space in your home, you can try getting vertical storage that allows you to go upward!   Stay Organized The hardest part of making changes in your home isn’t getting it done, rather, it’s maintaining the cleanliness that you have achieved! Find an organizational routine that works for you; one that doesn’t feel like you’re putting too much effort into maintaining it. Such routines can include washing your dishes right away, taking ten minutes every night to pack up before you head to bed, or even committing to living a minimalist lifestyle. Regardless of what you do, your goal should be to keep a clean home.

Enjoy a Day at the Pool-image

Welcome back to the Wildwood Park Apartments Blog. Since the weather has turned warm for the summer, you might want to get out of your Arlington, VA apartment and head to our outdoor pool available to all of our residents. This week, we’ll share with you some ways to make the most of your day at the pool!   Prepare Preparation is the key to enjoy most of everything you can do, and the same goes for a day of swimming at the pool. Before heading out, consider making a checklist of the things that you need for a successful, fun day. Remember to dress appropriately, meaning wearing a swimsuit and taking a towel. Pack sunscreen and a first-aid kit in case of an emergency.   More than physical preparation, mental preparation is important as well! Being mentally prepared for emergencies allows you to be more of a resource and an aid. In the case of injury, you’d be able to handle the situation in a calm and composed manner.   Don’t Swim Alone Accidents happen. Even if you’re an experienced swimmer, they can happen to you. Taking a friend reduces the risk of injury or drowning. Not only can they help you in case of an emergency, they’re also around for you to have fun with. If you’re at the pool with children, you should also always be present and stay aware of where they are at all times, encouraging them to follow swimming safety rules.   Take Breaks If you intend on being at the pool for an extended period of time, remember to take breaks from the rigorous activity of swimming. Cramps and injury can happen if you’re not careful. Taking breaks allows you to catch your breath, cool down, visit the restroom, and avoid drowning.   Safety First If you’re at the pool with children, teach them to be safe. Teach them that injury can happen if they’re not careful. Tell them to avoid running around the pool, to be careful around the filters, and to be mindful of others while they play. Adults also need to consider safety first. Observe pool etiquette and be mindful of others while you play.   With the nice weather, it’s not difficult to have an enjoyable day. Do you have any tips on enjoying a day at the pool? Let our apartment community know by leaving a comment below! Thanks for reading!

Tips for Organizing a Better Barbecue-image

The warm weather invites the possibilities of hosting barbecues, inviting friends over, and having fun. On this week’s Wildwood Park Apartments Blog, we share some tips for organizing a fun barbecue that you can host. Arlington, VA has many parks with charcoal grills for you to choose from for your party.   Be Prepared Ensure that your guests have enough utensils, plates, cups, and napkins before they even arrive at the party. Have a checklist of the crucial items you need and, as you purchase those items, keep them all in an easy to remember place so you don’t misplace anything. Always remember to bring extra trash bags so that clean up is quick and easy. Be kind and courteous to the people that will use the grills after you.   Make it a Potluck Relieve yourself of some stress by making your barbecue a potluck. If you have a theme, inform your guests of the theme and invite them to bring a dish that matches that theme. If they don’t bring a themed dish, don’t fret, it’s just a barbecue. Keep an accurate tally of the number of people who have signed up to come, and keep your guests informed so they know how much of their dish they need to make in order to provide for all the guests. Provide the main dishes yourself and invite others, if they have a preference, to provide their own meat in addition to what you will provide.   Entertainment A crucial part of every barbecue is the entertainment. Bring a bluetooth speaker to play music while the food is being cooked, this allows your guests to sing along, dance, or bob their head to music while they wait. You can also prepare games like cornhole, limbo, and spikeball to keep people entertained as the food cooks. If all else fails, talking and striking up conversation is a good form of entertainment. Reminiscing and joking about the past is a great way to catch up with guests and friends you haven’t seen for a while.   Summer is a great time to enjoy the weather and spend time with friends. Follow these tips and you’re sure to have a great barbecue. Do you have any tips on how to host a great barbecue? If so, leave a comment below! Thanks for reading, and happy grilling!
